• Ms. Reed, I saw your blog @ Free Thought Blogs, as well as the response from GenderTrender. I believe you are rightfully calling out the radical femmesoldier lesbians on their transphobia, even though they fight to the death to deny it. What they do reminds me of the straight males who fight to the death to deny they are gay, but yet end up in a scandal when they're caught red-handed engaging in some sexual activity with another male. What I mean is that I think those radical femmesoldier lesbians deep down inside actually DO have an attraction to trans women, but they've been brought up & trained to hate them. It's either that, or maybe they aren't as lesbianic (if such a word even exists) as they think they are & they believe that the only way to show they are indeed lesbian is by rallying against anything concerning a woman who was born a man.

    • Erin Portia Marie Rogi, I was just showing my support for Natalie. What GenderTrender said was just completely idiotic. Plus, I think the point I made in my post was very valid. Republicans & the deeply religious are soo much against gays, but yet, how many Republicans & Christians have gotten into scandals involving homosexuality? So, you attack me for posting what I did, yet you've said NOTHING about GenderTrender's response to Ms. Natalie's blog? Natalie Reed, I think you need to rethink your "friendship" with Rogi.
    • Natalie Reed Don't use my e-"friendship" as a pawn in arguments, please. It's nothing special, and doesn't mean I condone someone and everything they're about. I also don't necessarily know you all that much better than I know Rogi Riverstone, I have no idea why they said the silly thing they just said (it could be as simple as being uninformed about the issue, and/or having read some misleading articles in the wake of the whole Burchill / Moore "stop talking back! you...icky...trannies!" thing, or could be a misunderstanding), AND I'm pretty sure there's some stuff you and I disagree about out there somewhere.
    • Rogi Riverstone I'm not silly, Natalie Reed. And I'm not misinformed. I said what I meant and I meant what I said. And the culture of attacking people for stuff they didn't do, ascribing motives to others, presuming what others mean, armchair "diagnoses" and the other projections and paranoid fantasies of the academe may be useful tools for intimidation and silencing, but they're toxic to honest and open discourse. I didn't sign a pledge nor take an oath of group think; I speak for myself. I'm a 57 year old GenderQueer atheist, living in the rural bible belt, totally closeted, in abject poverty (I've pulled 8 of my own teeth and live without running water). I've been a feminist for over forty years. I know Bettina Aptheker and her partner, Kate Miller, personally and Kate's one of my oldest and closest friends.

I know the Lesbian Separatist community quite well, or did at its inception thirty years ago, b4 there were terms like "genderqueer" and "pansexual" I could use to define myself. I have forgotten more re: GenderQueer & Trans* rights/experiences/issues than you've had time to read in your Ivory Tower. I'm down here with the sex workers and homeless. My friends rioted at Stonewall.
    • Rogi Riverstone Just because my poverty and disabilities have marginalized me into invisibility doesn't mean I don't deserve respect as a basic, human right. The fact you spoke ABOUT me, rather than TO me, indicates you're saturated in the toxins of us v. them. I started GenderQueer Atheists on youtube & facebook, at considerable personal risk. My neighbors would literally kill me if they knew who I am. So, before you convince yourself nobody else is as smart as you, as insightful as you, as informed as you, maybe you need to listen for a change. Damn shame. You're so bright and clever. I gave you my full support. And now, your boot is on my neck, too. What a squandering of talent.
